Bazaar Time!

Hi guys!

I'm so excited!  The bazaar is here!!!  Time to chat and visit and maybe even sell a few things.  I love shows.  These are the times when you see those people you have become friends with and you rarely see them.  YAY!  Come on down and visit!!!  I made a cinnamon roll cake!!!  O.M.G. is it good!!!  Want the recipe ,,,, ????  Click on this line and it will take you to the website where I found it.  YUM!  This cake is on the heavy side.  I made it Wednesday night and it was wonderful Thursday afternoon.  I can't wait to see what it's like Friday morning!!!

Here's a couple pictures of what my set up looks like.  I brought mostly jewelry,,, but!  You'll see!

I'm in the corner!  Perfect!!!

This is the fun piece I found at the
recycle center last summer!

I added one sweet linen napkin to each "tray"
and called it perfect!

This is one of the slats from the iron crib I found
this summer at the same recycle center.

This idea for a jewelry holder came from
Mamie Jane's blog.  Click on any
of this sentence to go see it!

Here's another one, just a little taller.

Some one gave me this camera and I thought it needed to be a clock.  To me, every thing needs to be a clock!  :)

Close up of the old photo.

What can I say???  I love clocks!!!

I hope you get a chance to stop in and say HI!!!

Earrings

Hi guys!

Ever have one of those days where no matter what you do,,, it just doesn't work out???  YEP!  That was my day today.  I mean ,,, I'm making clocks and the first 2 movements I put in them were bad.  I took an old photo and Mod Podged it to an old camera and it won't lay down!!!  I tried doing a couple other things that just didn't work.  SO!  I went into the kitchen to take a giant package of ground sirloin and make it into patties for the freezer and what I do hear...???   A cat making a funky noise.  That would be the cat at my feet throwing up.  SO!  I cleaned it up, finished putting away my new patties, cooked up a patty for dinner and called it a late night!  EEK!

Needless to say,,, I didn't get one single piece made today and I'm down to 1 building day left before the bazaar!  Crapola!!!  Maybe tomorrow!!!

So, here's a few pictures of some earrings that will be at the bazaar that starts this Friday at 10 am!!!

I LOVE these beads!!!

Dragonflies - my favorite!!!  I have a tattoo
of a dragonfly on one of my teeth!
YEP!  I do!

These were fun to make.  I have a lot more that are already at We Do Art.  Many from recycled crap.  Then there's some from Shrinky Dinks.  Some with Seahawks stuff!!!  Stop on in and see!!!

We Do Art --  This Friday and Saturday 10 am to 6 pm.  See ya there!!!

Metal Road Kill Bracelets

Hi guys!

I know!  I know!

I love the crap I find in my alley!  What can I say.  It's fun to see it, then try to use it.  Some times it works and some times I'm the only one who thinks it works!!!  tee hee hee!!!

Here's a couple bracelets made from that type of crap!

I started with a can of costume jewelry "junk".

I picked out a bracelet and added bottle caps that were run over and rusted that I have been picking up in my alley.

I didn't like the pretty clasp, so I added a safety pin.
Don't you love the hearts in the bracelet???

There is a bottle cap on every link except the 2
on the very ends.  I glued the jump rings
with clear nail polish where the ends meet.

This one is the same idea.  I started with a used
bracelet, then added one type of bottle cap.

I call this one XX Rated!

More used bracelets that need to be finished.

When I make jewelry from used parts and stuff I find, I can keep my prices very low.  It's fun.  These are not high end silver or gold pieces.  These are inexpensive, fun and most of all,,,, different!

Now, here's some pictures of stuff that was made of new goodies.

Fun ... leather, metal and glass!

I love the glass and metal beads together.

2 fun, quick bracelets.
Sorry!  They aren't focused too great!!!

Enameled copper pipe beads.

SO!  Not bad????

Tell me what you think of my metal road kill bracelets!  Please!!!!

All of these will be at the bazaar at We Do Art this Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.  I'm eatin' pizza and nachos this weekend ,,, come join me!

Finds From the Alley Turned Into Junk Jewelry

Hi guys!

Most of the jewelry, bracelets, you'll see have at least one piece in it that I found in the alleys by my house!

Curtain rod piece with wire found in the alley.

The belt buckle and wire were found in the alley.

The twisted metal ring, the heart and the
wire were found in the alley.

The metal piece was found in a driveway in the alley.
The heart as left outside by accident.
Great accident!

The metal focal piece was found on the
ground after a car had run over it!
I made the two larger lampwork beads years ago.

The wire is bailing wire I found in a recycle bin.

I do love junk!  It's fun to play with.  Soon I'll show you a couple bracelets made from road kill!  OH!  Wait!  I mean metal road kill!   LOL!

All of these will be at the bazaar this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1 & 2, 10 am to 6 pm at We Do Art (click here for more information!).

"Junk" Jewelry

Hi guys!

How are ya???  Doing okay???

I sure hope so.

All is well around here.  My cold is still hanging around, but!  It's much better.  While I've been holed up inside the house I've made a couple funky little bracelets from scraps of things!

Here's a few pictures...

Parts of a belt and an old necklace.

Parts of an old necklace, a button and left overs from other projects.

Parts of an old necklace, a button and a couple cuties!

The large round blue beads are from an old necklace.

Parts from a vintage necklace.

More parts from that same necklace.

An old coat button, some beads from an old
necklace and fish!  I love fish!!!

Lampwork chilies I made years ago.

This started with hearts from a sweater pin.

More to follow over the next week.

The bazaar is Nov. 1 & 2, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm at We Do Art.  Great pizza next door at the White Buffalo Saloon!  I sure hope to see you there!!!!

Peterbilt Clock

Hi guys!!!

How are ya???  All is well here!  I took Joy to the beach today and she ran for a full hour.  When I finally got her home and a bath she crashed on the floor and hasn't moved much!  Sweet old girl.

Here's a quick look at a clock I just made.

This is a piece off a truck from the recycle center.

Some times you just don't need numbers on a clock!

I took this clock to We  Do Art.  It never made it inside the door.  A lady was walking towards me as I was walking through the parking lot.  Can you say Parking Lot Sale???  I DID!!!  YAY!

More clocks to come in the near future.  We Do Art is having a 2 day bazaar Nov. 1st and 2nd.  More info to follow!!!
