2 faucet handles are better than 1.

Excellent old hinges,,, they match the faucets!

Sorticulture - 8 Room Shutter and Oil Drum Bird House

Howdy!

How‘s it going???

Sorticulture, 41 building days left.

So, for the next few weeks I hope to get one picture of some thing on here every day. I need the push. They should be short and sweet, but, check ’em out let me know what you think!

Here’s another! Ready???

A beat to pieces shutter becomes
the front of a bird condo.

Old fence boards and an
oil drum make the rest.

The roof, love the color!

I don't normally paint any thing.  I like the
natural look.  This wood wouldn't make
it in the weather without it.

A peak inside.  Each room is a little
off it's neighbor.

I love bird houses.  They sell well and they do get birds.  YAY!

So,,, just for those who asked ...

Great color!  Needs new, fresh concrete!

I went outside to drill holes in blue bottles.
OOPS!  I found other parts to play with.

I threw all those parts on a piece of
#6 copper wire.  Too short!

So I made sections.

I found some recycled hanging lamp chain.
 The smaller link worked well.

I put it all together and hung it up.

New cobalt blue beads ....

recycled brass lamp parts and copper wire ...

and a brass bell from a metal scrapper.

It's tough to see the whole string in a picture.
Here you get the idea!  FUN!!!

I love rain chains with funky personality!!!

Sorticulture - Alaska Or Bust - and an Oso Update

Hi guys!

How’s tricks??? Great around here.

So, first Oso mudslide update ….  It’s going so well up there. Last count 39 recovered and identified bodies. Only 4 left missing. Still a miracle. What a great job they’ve done. If any catastrophe ever hits your family, God forbid, these are the guys and gals you want to help you!

Sorticulture,,, eek! It’s only a few weeks away,,, okay 47 building days left. CRAP! Time to get it in gear. Soon,,,, hahaha!!! For those of you who know me,,, well, it’s getting close. For those who don’t. I don’t know why, but my brain doesn’t really get it in gear until I’m at that deadline,,, you know,,, do it now or else time! Sucks, but that’s my life. It’s all good. I think!

So, for the next few weeks I hope to get one picture of some thing on here every day. I need the push J . They should be short and sweet, but, check ’em out and let me know what you think!

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

Rain Barrels and an Oso Mudslide Update

Hi guys!

How's it going???  Good I hope!  All is well here.

I got my acceptance into Sorticulture and I started building.  EEK!  I only have 8 weeks to go and it's go time... so,,, I'm one of those who had XP on my ancient nearly perfect pc... now thanks to Micro-what's-thereface,,, I have to get a new computer.  The turkeys!!!  As soon as I figure out how to use 2 computers to get one picture on here ,,, I'll show you the 2 whole projects I've made so far!  :)  SOON!

So, between then and now, I'll do my best to put stuff on here by way of a laptop.  The problem?  This laptop has no real software on it compared to my 13 year old dinosaur.  I loved that puppy!

Oso Mudslide update.  As of tonight there were 36 bodies found and all 36 have been identified.  Only 7 are missing.  That is so AMAZING!  If you looked out your back door and saw acres and acres of mud up to 30 feet deep and you had to find someone ... how could you do that?  Well, they've used numerous ways and have done an outstanding job.  I'm so proud of all of you who have helped!  Thank you so much!!!!

NOW!  Do you remember the rain barrel I made for the City of Everett's call for artists???  Well, mine and others are on eBay right now up for bid.  No, they won't ship.  Sorry!  I thought you might want to check out what myself and many others have done.  Mine is up on the 20th of April.  There will be more put on at a later date.  Click on this sentence to get to the auctions.  Once you get to this page, click on the seller and you'll see every thing they have up for auction right now.  You can follow if you want.

OKAY!  I'll be back soon,, hopefully with pictures!  Shelley
